MEET OUR TEAM

Tahia Malu

Hi, I’m Tahia, proud wife and mother of 3.  I have been around fitness my entire life, but haven’t really been changed by fitness until I was 30, gave birth to my 3rd child, overweight and stuck.  I found CrossFit that introduced me to a new world of fitness that has changed my life.  Initially I lost over 85lbs and reached my first goal, and I have been on a fitness journey ever since, doing things I never thought was possible again after a torn ACL, a desk job, motherhood and LIFE!  One of my most recent accomplishments is setting a state USPA sub-master record in the Bench Press & Deadlift.  I am a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer, Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certified in Exercise Nutrition, and a USPA Certified Powerlifting Coach.  I have been delivering life-changing results as a coach for over 6 years. A native of Hawaii, I have a natural gift of caring and understanding for my clients and their goals, which allows me to personalize my programming for effective and proven results.  My passion for health and fitness goes back to my days as an Outrigger canoe paddler, high school and collegiate athlete, then later a CrossFit athlete. I have worked with men and women of all ages and fitness levels, from various career backgrounds. I love helping people reach a new level of fitness, and am excited to share my passion and knowledge in nutrition and fitness to help you reach your goals!

Arona Malu

PROGRAMS

CROSSFIT

Combines a wide-variety of Olympic lifting, gymnastics, and strength training with conditioning in a group environment. This class is welcome to athletes at any level from beginner to advanced. Must be 13 years or older.

INTERVAL PROGRAM

This class involves a series of high-to-low intensity workouts, designed to burn calories and lose weight fast, in less time. Must be 15 years or older.

FREE TRIAL

TEEN STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING PROGRAM

This program is open to athletes of ALL sports. We focus on increasing the athletes strength by teaching proper form and technique in foundational movements and lifts, as well as increasing an athlete's overall speed, agility, and conditioning. This class is suitable for teens ages 14 + years old. The Program runs from January 1st - July 1st.

Our strength program focuses on building overall strength in the Bench Press, Back Squat and Deadlift.

CROSSFIT FOUNDATIONS

Our Crossfit Foundations program is our Intro to Crossfit course, and is required for anyone interested in taking "Crossfit" classes at Mudder What Fitness.  This is a great way to meet our community, interact with coaches, experience our atmosphere, and fully learn correct form for the nine foundational Crossfit movements that are found in our WODs here at Crossfit MWF.  Our intro to Crossfit course starts at the beginning of each month, and consists of 4 - 45minute sessions, completed over a 2 week period.
